The Throw Down is an annual competition between Michigan Potters to throw various pieces on identical Clay Wheels, side-by-side, with other Potters. This Throw Down will be held on Saturday Sept 12, 2026, for the first time at Clayworks located at 13121 Wacousta Rd. Grand Ledge, MI, 48837, phone 517-626-1160. The Cracked Pot Throw Down is fashioned after UK's "Great Pottery Throw Down," where Potters compete to demonstrate various clay attributes.
